Is your cougar an unwanted @$$ magnet?
No, I am not talking about the prefered type, but more rather the everyday nuisance.
I am younger than most on this forum and thus I hang out with a younger crowd, which I think the root cause of this situation. I don't understand what it is about our cars that attract so much rear-end to the fenders, bumbers and hoods of our cars. I have atleast 12 scratches from gromets, including on the headlight. I am very over protective of my car, I park in the back of most lots, I park next to vacant cars when ever possible... but when at functions and other events teens mainly guys park their rear ends on my car... I usually combat this problem by setting off my alarm, or by starting up my car and driving off(with them on my car).... both are extremely effective, and both give me ample satisfaction. one time I came out to my car and I found three guys and a girl sitting on my car. (that time I drove off) the "WTF" expression was pricelessDo people have respect or what? when I first aquired the car there were only 2 scratches to my knowledge and both were already touched up(professionally) before we brought the car home... minus the inevitable marks from rocks and debris on the hood and front bumper now it looks like I key my own car, little scratches here and there... compromising the overall appearence. Doordingers and people who sit on other peoples cars erk me. I also have an extensive line of door dings from people at school in addition to all the a$$ marks, that problem has all but fixed itself (the door dings), at my new school people are more considerate, and I can park amongst abandon cars used in the automotive classes has anyone had this type of unwanted attention to their car? and what are some proactive solutions I can take? (I kind of look to Bond movies for inspiration, but none are attainable for some one with my cashflow ) I am all for the tradition of guys don't let guys sit on their car, truck maybe, but car no way in hell. as for girls, I think that should be judged on an individual basis, based on a ranking system of 1-10 where ten is the highest and only those ranked from 8-10 can sit on the car. The numbers should be determined by looks, attitude, and an aptitude test. I was thinking about buying a 55watt HID ballist, putting in some sort of motion sensor and sending a pulse through the body pannels when ever it was tripped. (either that use coilpacks) 23K volts could get the message across. but it could also fry everything in my car or I could go with that one guys flame thrower theft deterent system my alarm is sensitive enough for the most gentle of door dings, but sometimes its not worth the hassle of all the false alarms at that sensitivity. |

why dont you get the balls to tell them to get the hell off your car, instead of posting on a forum about your issue?

Re: Is your cougar an unwanted @$$ magnet?
I'm sorry, but I'm with the other two guys. If I came out and saw some pieces of feces whom I did not recelect ever knowing, I would be hella pissed and let them know it. I'm going to guess you are in high school. In which case, I could understand their lack of understanding of worth and value.
People always say "The kids these days, they just don't get it, when I was younger blah blah blah", but it's always been the same. Old people did the same, they just lost their mind and forget how they were. /end rant

Re: Is your cougar an unwanted @$$ magnet?
when I had my cougar, I was coming out of the mall one day, and this lady was ahead of me. her phone started rining, she stopped right next to my car, plopped her purse on the hood of my car, took out her cell phone, then leaned on my hood while talkin on her cell phone.
I walked up to her at first and politely said "excuse me" she snapped at me and said "can't you see i'm on the phone?" so I grabbed her purse and chunked it across the parking lot and said "get off my ****ing car" ![]() |

Re: Is your cougar an unwanted @$$ magnet?
Ummm...maybe the source of your scratches and crap is that you drive the f*ck off when they are on your car instead of asking them to get off of it...
![]() And no, I've never had this problem because everyone knows I would be pissed. People usually respect my vehicle enough. Maybe your cougar looks bad enough that they don't think it would be a problem...? (That wasn't an attack, I don't know what your cougar looks like) Or maybe a lot of people hate you...
