Me vs. Impala
Our story begins with me doing 75mph on a 55mph 4 lane divided highway. I slowed down to 65mph when I was closing in on a Escort ZX2, the Escort moved over in the slow lane and I continued at 65. When I looked up in my rear view mirror I saw a familiar black Impala. I had seen this Impala before, last fall I think, he was weaving through traffic like a maniac, so at that time I had assumed that he was a cop, and keep in mind, in Louisville our police force is made up of Crown Vics, Exploders, and the occasional Narc unit f-150. Anywho, this taint sniff ride my bumper, 5ft away at 65mph, as soon as I found a gap in the slow lane I took it with authority. As soon as he passed me and moved ahead at 95+mph I got back over and accelerated to 79mph wanting to see his plate number, which I couldn't because he dipsetted. As I came to the tunnels we have traffic was slowed to 45 because of him pushing people over, thats when I got his plate number and continued to follow at a respectable distance. He was riding the bumper of a red Chrysler 300m, they were going 50mph so I moved into the right hand lane to slowly pass at 55mph. When I got up to the Impala's rear quaterpanel he decided to jump into my lane without looking, it forced me into the merging ramp and almost got me rearended. The Impala driver quickly reached up and grabbed his sun visor (HA! I KNEW IT!) and a symphony of red and blue erupted from his windows. He pulled the Chrysler over for an unknown reason and I continued on my way with a license plate number and a story from my passenger and myself.
Should I called the Sheriff's Dept. tomorrow? If so should I give them and info on myself? I don't want to get wrapped up in a legal problem with a government program or anything.

Re: Me vs. Impala
don't give them your info IMO, they'll want to know how you were moving fast enough to get his plate and ignore the real deal on hand...
and slow down please ![]()

Re: Me vs. Impala
well if its the entire force thats corrupt they won't do anything. If theres any bit of honesty in it (don't count on it), they'll keep note and when the complaints stack up they'll do something...

Re: Me vs. Impala
you are not going to get anything accomplished by reporting him, cops stick together and could care less about what he did to you, they think they are the law, but they don't understand they are supposed to uphold it

Re: Me vs. Impala
It's not the first time I've seen him driving like this, this behavior is going to get someone killed. Literally forcing people to move over by riding their bumper?! I am a person who doesn't get mad easily, but this pissed me off to no end. After talking with my dad I decided I'm going to talk to the sheriff, tell him I'm writing to our big new paper and see where that takes me. This is the reason people don't like/don't trust police.
