UPDATE: I had my court date today for my ticket...

Just thought I'd give you all a follow up to my little incident about a month ago where I got pulled over doing 87mph in a 35mph zone (ok, no more flaming on this, you had your chance in the OTHER thread)

Well I went to court today after taking an online defensive driving class and here's what the great state of Florida is doing to me

1. No jail sentence, Booyah!

2. No suspended license, also deserves a

3. NO POINTS ON MY LICENSE!!! (lol, even I'm surprised at this one)

so all I have to do is pay the $313.50 ticket by May 1st and that's it...
funny thing is, they just saw me as just another kid, imagine if I told them I'm an Eagle Scout and a 4.0 GPA NHS student

Now it may seem like I'm being cocky, but I'm not... I'm very thankful I didn't get the long hard shaft of the law in my buttocks. Will I slow down? You bet your ass I will. I may be an alert driver, but it only takes one slip up...
NOT TO MENTION SPEEDING IS EXPENSIVE!

100 in a 70, they took 6 points off my license, I had to take traffic school, but they waived the ticket fine and I'm only paying court costs (on top of my lawyers....

)

haha, damn that sucks, i just went into court unrepresented and plead guilty
i do 100 in 70's all the time on Thursdays (College Night at Ocean Club

)
my next investment will be a laser jammer...
and in my opinion, save speeding on the highway (no weaving or that bs) is ok... but i only do it once a week

Dude thats crazy!!!! I was doing 69 in a 55 and got 2 points and a 100 fine! I would consider yourself damn lucky!

ohh and buy yourself a lottery ticket

I was going 97 in a 50 and I got a $100 fine + 5 points + 30 day suspension. Really not all that bad, because initially the penalty was 10 points + $400 + possible jail sentence. I was only seventeen and had my license like three months.

Yeah, my fiancee got popped for 68 in a 45 (4 lane devided with a 3 lane width paved median) only got an $85 ticket, no court, no points...

The thing was, she didnt even realize she was speeding. She looked down when she saw the flashing red&blues and saw that her speed was up there. Damn deceptive Cougars, gonna get us all in trouble someday.
