well my coug is kinda effed

so here we go, i was driving home from work today, leaving the parking lot say around 11:07 pm, i go to stop at the stop sign, and well my foot sliped off the brake and end up flooring my coug straight into a curb (gotta love the work shoes they make me wear that have no grip on them, along with the water i had to get too, to get to my car) so heres the list of damages from me eyeballing it:

front axle damage
sub frame damage
going to need new front tires and rims
air bags
looks like i caught part of my exhaust when i went up onto the curb
(no pedestrians or cars around, except for my buddy rob who was behind me)

and well yeah no pictures, going to bed

merry christmas

oh and it was a 1999 silver frost with 85k miles on it

Re: well my coug is kinda effed

Full coverage? Sounds like it would be totaled by a insurance company.

Damn that bites. Parts should be cheap enough though if you are going to fix it yourself. I'd say about 500 or less for most parts via a JY and ebay.

Do you have an ATX or MTX? The MTX subframe is a pain to find in a JY (at a resonable price). I've been looking for a while and the people that do have one want like 300 bucks the people that don't have the MTX only want like 50.

Re: well my coug is kinda effed

If its not totaled then you're in good shape assuming no frame damage (not talking about subframe/engine cradle).

They will probably total it though because of the airbags. You can always buy it back though and fix it yourself. If what you have listed is the only problems then you could definately fix it yourself for under 500 if you go to the right places and don'ty mind used parts (Airbags).

Re: well my coug is kinda effed

Ouch sorry dude, I kind of know how you feel I hit some ice a winter or two back and curbed my Cougar it was only a rim rash and control arm tho. Sorry to hear again, thank God you didn't slam into a parked car or fly off a cliff. Keep us posted and good luck.

Re: well my coug is kinda effed

How many miles on it?

With subframe damage and blown bags, I'll almost promise you it's totalled. The bags usually make up for too much money, and a lot of times insurance companies don't want to screw with any suspension issues.
