2001 2.5 Serpentine Belt without AC?

My AC compressor is shot. I'm looking to bypass it. Can anyone tell me a part number or belt length for short serpentite (non-AC) belt for a 2001 2.5?

I believe the 2001 & 2002 have a different belt routing (and therefore length?) than earlier years.

    Thanks,
    Spud

Can anyone help me with the routing for a non-AC 2001 - 2002 2.5 motor?

It's different than the earlier cars.

You have to get a compressor bypass pulley for 01 02's.I think all 2.5's had ac.

Ok - thanks. That makes perfect sense. New question - how much fun is it removing the a/c compressor. Do I really need to drop the exahust?

If the ac clutch pulley bearings are shot I'd say do it,but if it's just the compressor itself that's done, unplug it and leave it there.I did it cuz I had the engine out.

I wouldn't want to risk breaking one or more of those corroded bolts in the block with engine in the car just to shave a couple of lbs off the engine.

ive took out my compressor in this same engine. no big deal you can take it out without dropping the exhaust or anything else except those 2 splash guards.

your say the bearings on the compressor clutch is bad right?
