    Angry Failed E-test .... AGAIN

Wondering if someone could help diagnose whats up with my car?
I have an xcal and do datalogs but have no idea what to read.

    Here are my drving results:

    ..................LIMIT....READING
    HC PPM......... 60...... 107...... FAIL
    CO %...........0.33..... 0.08...... PASS
    NO PPM.........450..... 601....... FAIL

    Idle I passed fine.

I dont know if its ignition, fuel or possible engine damage?? Car drives fine. I have svt light, intake, headers w high flow cat + exhaust.

    Any help ?

Did you give your cat time to warm up before testing?

    Re: Failed E-test .... AGAIN

lol, I just checked and it says that I have to get an E-Test when I renew my plates in Janurary..... only problem is my car will be stored for the winter.. lol.

So I have pretty much the same mods as you do Mich... except I dont have an Xcal, and mine is a 2002, so I dont need MILs. I am super worried that I too will fail my first e-test with the highflow cat and headers.... I had an e-test a couple months ago when I got the car, and it passed with flying colors, but since my mods when I plug my car into a scan tool it said that I would fail (mind you I had two exhaust manifold leaks at the time, so maybe that had something to do with it?) Mich, maybe your headers are leaking too???

Have you tried that stuff that claims to gaurantee that you will pass an e-test? Maybe your Xcal is tuned too rich and thats why your polluting like a mo fo?

The only other thing I can think of is my friend in St. Catherines who works at a test center... he can hook us up with a pass, but I hope that my car is running clean enough to not need to go down that road. Not to mention I dont want to pollute, but I like speed!

    Re: Failed E-test .... AGAIN

Im currently running the stock tune with the lower o2's turned off.

Others havent had a problem passing e-test with the same mods as us Chris so im guessing you should be fine.
As for your e-test, you shouldnt have to go again since the e-test is good for 1 year so just bring your page back in and they will give you the sticker.

If your buddy can get me passed, give him a call and find out. Pm me the details. I went today to a place that another friend told me to go to and he still failed me...

mich there are only 2 ways some can "pass" you under our emission systems, they either scan your car and run another one or they input your car as a hot rod.
as for failing, what type of fuel are you running?
