oil leak

Hey guys well this last week and weekend before I was messing with changing my alt out on the car. Well while I was under there i noticed my car has developed a nice little oil leak. It was dripping from the same side as the alt and i was having to rewipe it off the bottom of the car every 30 minutes or so to keep it off me. Would this maybe be just a need for like valve cover gaskets to be replaced or something? Dont really know a whole lot when it comes to fluid leaks and such. The car has 137k on it in case that helps at all.
