Blown fuse question
My wife's car constantly blows a fuse that controls the dash lights and overhead courtesy lamps. I removed the overhead lamp console, went from a (IIRC) 5 amp fuse to a 10 amp fuse. When I reconnected it, the fuse would blow. So, I left the overhead lamp console disconnected and so far so good. Any idea what is causing this?
Thanks, Greg |

Re: Blown fuse question
I dont recommend stepping fuses up in size, as its obvious there is a electrical short somewhere. do you see any frayed wires? If one of those wires is grounding itself on the car body, then yes that will happen.
