. He tried to tell me there was an electrical problem with my car. Okay buddy. Went back the next day and someone who actually knew what he was doing plugged in the damn thing, and finally picked up on my lean code . So aggravating to deal with numbskulls...

Re: ahhh stupid check engine light!
ok. so i had it scanned a few times and they told me the same thing...egr valve and the cat. the egr, i knew since i got the car the cel has been on but now im thinking because of my intake, its creating more air flow coming in than going out, hence, the cat problem. but i have a question...should i get a new universal cat for only $200, or get the one that fits my car for like $1000, which i would rather not do. also, i want to get an exhaust anyway, so do you think if i do so, it would get rid of my problem??

The engine is only going to move as much air as it can. If it can't move as much because the exhaust is restrictive, then it's not going to pull as much in. Your problem lies elsewhere.
