I found that the problem to my speedometer cluster and non-working power mirrors and dome lights was a bad fuse in the driver's compartment. It's fuse #34 and it's to have a 7.5 fuse. Anyway, while trying to replace that fuse, as soon as I insert it , it blows instantly. I am not a electrical guy, and need someone's help and ideas so I can finally fix my car. I've taken it everywhere, and all they say is to get a new cluster for 2k, and that is how to fix it!!!
What am I to do next, after finding this issue? Thanx, Chris |

Re: Need Help! Again!!
You have a short somewhere in one of those circuits. You need to find it and fix it. I'd try disconnecting the cluster and replacing the fuse again, first - if the cluster really is shorted, then the fuse won't blow with it disconnected.

Re: Need Help! Again!!
chris, if its what I'm thinking of, that circuit also includes the O/D button.. by any chance do you have an atx and have removed the console and not properly wired it back up
[I had this and it was grounding on my seat rail]
