High humidity = high idle
We've had a huge batch of rain over the last 2 days and today I finally drove the car after replacing the PS pump and alternator. I've noticed this in the past, but still don't know what the problem is. Whenever the humidity is high, whenever I push the clutch or put it in neutral, the revs come up to almost 3000rpms. It will do this constantly until the humidity drops back down. I've already changed the DPFE sensor, cleaned the UIM/LIM. What else could be doing this? Like I said, it ONLY does it when the air is very moist. In dry weather it runs fine.

Re: High humidity = high idle
How's the IAC valve? My past high idle issues were due to a sticking or beginning to fail IAC valve. Not sure what humidity would do though
unless the dampness causes it to stick or something.

Re: High humidity = high idle
No, the racecar idle went away after I changed the DPFE. And no, I haven't changed the IACV yet.
