fuel guage problem
i filled up my tank. the miles till empty read 360-ish. at the same time i reset my trip meter to zero.
after driving only 33 miles according to the trip meter my gas guage needle was on a half tank. and miles till empty read 199. for the past couple of weeks my gas needle has been moving back and fourth like it has a mind of its own. now i know that after driving only 33 miles i DID NOT kill a half tank. any ideas? |

Re: fuel guage problem
Probably a bad fuel level sending unit or, less likely, the gauge.

Re: fuel guage problem
it's a FUEL SENDING UNIT, and you have to get a new fuel pump because the sender unit is built into the fuel pump. and it is under warranty so go get it fixed already
