Re: front end wobble
Is it only shaking at a certain speed? If so you probably have a wheel out of balance. If it's doing it all the time, it could be anything from a wheel bearing, tie rod end, ball joint, etc, etc...

Re: front end wobble
It also could be one of your rotors are warped or arent perfically round. Take your front rims to a tire/alinment shop and have them balance the rims so they are true.

Re: front end wobble
Maybe a bent rim. It thought one of mine was out of balance. Took it off to take it to a shop and in the process I found out it was bent on the inside.

Re: front end wobble
Ditto...check the tires. I had the same kind of problem and when I checked the tires, they were wearing pretty bad on the inside. Replaced the tires and everything is great.

Re: front end wobble
Are you getting any noise with the wobble? is the noise more present when you are turning any specific direction. How do the ball joints and outer tie rods look. any lateral movement in the wheel? Have you hit any item...curb, rock? Have you recently had any front end work done?
Also take the time to swap the front tires to the rear and see if the problem follows. If it is in the front you will feel it in the steering wheel, if it is in the rear you will feel it in your seat. Do you have aftermarket wheels? Are you using hub centric rings? Are you using the proper lug nuts? |
