You can't find the blower motor? Sit in the passenger sit. Kick your foot up, you just kicked your blower motor. I had my blower go, it still worked though, just made a high pitched whining. Proablaby the motors bearings... Went to the junk yard, asked for the motor. Clerk says $50 if i get it, $25 if you go get it. So i walk out to the the car, 1 of 2 wrecked 2000 cougars at the yard. Reach up, push the tab in, twist, and tada! Took me a total of 30 seconds to get the part out of the car, mostly because i had to lie down. lol.

So you could try pulling the motor and testing it. If it works and doesn't work i'd think it was a connection though.

Re: Help... No heat or Air 123 or 4

my cougar has a similar problem but it only works on setting 4 and not on 1.2 or 3. any ideas of what this might be. the heat and the a/c work on 4 and only 4.

there is a how-to on replacing the blower resistor. it's an easy (and cheap) fix
