Quaker City Private Track Rental in March

Just thought I would share with you guys, to see if anyone is interested. The Buckeyegoats are planning to rent a couple of drag strips this coming year. For right now, the first planned event is going to be a Quaker City (the track that was near CougarFest 07) on Sunday, May 18th from 9 am to 3 pm. They generally keep it to about 100 cars, and the total cost is about $40 depending upon how many people register. Previous events have been pretty much a test and tune type set up were you run as many runs as you want. From what I was reading people were able to get in as many runs as the wanted, very much like previous CF events when they had rented the strip.

I will be going, and they are taking $20 deposits right now, with the rest do later. Of course the bulk of the cars will be GTOs, but they are leaving it open to anyone that ponies up the money. They are also looking to do a day at Norwalk and Nation Trails later in the year if there is enough interest and available track days.

sounds like fun. i might go just to hang out and watch. i couldn't even beat the mini-van at cf07, i don't think i'll have any chance of coming close to anythin running then. but i'd like go and hang out.

Cool, and hanging out is free, there is not entrance fee to watch.
