    Wounded Cougar on the battlefield.

    Medic!! We need a medic!!

So it's as if this car doesnt like me or something, everytime I try to do something nice for it, it doesnt seem to just accept it. So Erin and I are at his friends house all day yesterday installing these Roush rear sway bars. I go to remove the bolts that go into the subframe, they both snap. One of Erins snapped. Eventually after his friend broke a couple easy outs and drill bits trying to get them out, they decided to weld the clamps back on. So they did for both cars. 8 hours later for a job Andy did in 30 mins and we are on the road. Erin's car is doing fine, and im hearing all kinds of funny noises from my rear. Clunking around certain turns and bumps, and some creeking. It only sounds like its coming from the passanger side, which is the side Erin hooked back togethor. So maybe, Im hoping, that only something is lose. The welds look like that are holding fine. But I dunno, Andy gave me some things to check.

    Thought I'd leave an update.

Spray a little more lithium grease in and around the bushings, too. Those might be a little compromised after all the welding...

A new IACV might fix all of those problems. At the very least it will fix the moosing.

This exact thing happened to me when I was putting in new bushings & end links. F'n bolts sheared off on both sides and we ended up drilling them out and putting a new bolt through it.

Anyway, when I finished I was getting a clunking too. Turns out I didn't tighten a sway bar endlink all the way and it was moving a little in some turns/bumps. Pulled the wheel off & tightened it back up.

Sorry to hear that Brett, but things could have gone a different direction. I'm about ready to shoot mine. And what in hell is moosing?

A loud sound that goes WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! It sounds like there's a giant moose under your hood with a blowhorn next to it's head. I have a new IACV sitting in my bedroom but haven't had time to install it yet ... maybe this afternoon.
