    Good bye sweet sweet cougar....

Well I finally pulled the trigger and sold the cougar. After months of waiting, I bought a new car.

The cars I test drove was limited. Considering my price range and my requirements, I needed something family orientated, 4 doors and of coarse fast

Eliminated from the list was Sti, Evo, WRX, GTi, Srt-4 due to price and not meeting my requirements.

I test drove a mazdaspeed 3 and a mazdaspeed 6. Both turbo 6-speeds. The 3 is FWD and the 6 is AWD.

I brought Angie along as what I refered to as ice-water-angie. Her job was to not let that sweet sweet horsepower cloud my judgement.

The speed 3 with 280 ft-lbs of torque and 260 hp was definately quick. But, its small and cramped. Angie and I were both uncomforatble even on the short test drive.

It did have that racey, intake/exhaust sound. I really think its focused more on the age group just below where I am at.

The speed3 is definately a quick seller, sold the only one they had on the lot just after I got back from the test drive to someone else. 15 total coming in and they had already sold 12 or 13.

So after 4 hours, we left in our new car. A black Mazdaspeed6 with black interior. The price was rediculous, about 5 grand below invioce. Cant be that!

If you are considering getting an 06 Speed6, now is the time. They didnt sell all that great so there were about 6-8 to choose from and the incentives are awesome. Not to mention th 06's come with a 4 year -50k bumper to bumper warrenty

    I'll post pictures later

Congrats!! Those are sweet looking cars!

Getting pregnant really is a cougar killer Although we were going to get rid of mine anyways, but that just sped up the deal. Now working on jeff getting rid of the truck to get a family friendly car too

Sad to see the Cougar go man, it was one of the first modded Cougars I saw in Ohio, at the first Ohio NECO meet. I remember the original yellow dash shroud.

But congrats on the MS6! I rode in a friends Mazda 3 a few weeks ago, really nice interior, seemed like a good bit of room, but it wasn't the hatch, it was the four door. I like the looks of the 6. Good luck with it!

Hehhe, yeah the yellow interior. Great a few years ago.... but I REALLY out grew it. Another motivator to sell.

Now I just have to fight the urge to modify :D

    HOT!

I'm so thinking of getting a mazda6. I'm not sure about the speed, though I did love it. I need something more of a daily driver, and the car was really stiff, but that's what it's made for. Nice choice.

    Dang, nice stuff.

Its too bad I didnt know you were going for another Ford family car. Z plan would have slapped another 2-3k off that mother and ours should be available to friends again.

If you ask me, WAY TOO MANY new people are coming in. This whole community is going down the toilet.

TONY! Get some photos of that beast up in here! Awesome score, man.
