How will it die prematurely? It would make sense that the cap stores power so the alt doesn't have to supply the amps all at once. Either way, it would've went if I didn't get that cap.

See, now that went pretty darn smooth too! One of the harder maintenance items on a Cougar goes easy, and my easy little project goes hard. ::sigh::

Maybe I should only work on some one else's Cougar, and let them work on mine
