ohh look at that, an upgraded sway bar on an ATX with 15" wheels.... now your car can ALMOST get out of it's own way.......ALMOST...
hah , so messed up![]()
so now ull just have no more thing to scrap when u go up mike's driveway eh
when u plan on installin it?
Someone's gotta weld the aussie brackets on first, I think. Are those polyurethane bushings, or rubber? If they're rubber, get poly. It'll be alot stiffer

They are Urethane bushingsI need to pick up some for the front too though....and maybe some motor mounts
Does anyone know what the spec's are on these various sway bars that you are installing .![]()
I just installed a BAT 22 mm bar with bushing limiters (supposed to eliminate mounting bracket damage) .. nice performance increase.. got rid of allot of understeer .![]()
This one is a 24 mm bar
And I have upgraded backing plates to get welded onto the OEM plates, so they won't break
The specs have been all laid out before in these forums, and in the CEG too.Does anyone know what the spec's are on these various sway bars that you are installing .![]()

I SEARCHED and found the links for a similar question posted on the CEG:

thanks Ozzi - I'm afraid that I don't get to the Contour club site very often .. If I'm lucky, I don't have time to check the NECO forum very often ..I opted for the BAT bar (comes w/ urethane) because of the Aussie's need to welded to the frame (and some reliability issues).. Don't like to weld if I don't have to..
Don't forget to do a good painting of those welds as the advantage of a powder coated bar won't matter..
By the way, how much does the Aussie bar weigh?? The BAT 22 mm bar is 5.4 lbs..![]()
