Re: PuckPuck's insane 3L build...

Turbo specs:

T3/T4 Turbonetics HI-FI 60-1
water cooled center with a 360* race bearing
Stage 5 turbine wheel and .82 A/R
T04B compressor housing, ported to fit a 60-1 wheel (61mm).
External wastegate

It will flow 64lbs/min, good for 500+HP... and that's before nitrous.

To put it another way, this is essentially one of the largest T3/T4 hybrids you can build. The only thing odd, that doesn't make it the largest possible hybrid, is the small compressor housing, however the compressor wheel is typically found in the much larger T04S housing. The reasoning behind this is to keep up efficiency at lower boost and flow levels.

I had the intercooler dimensions also, but can't find them

Twin-turbo... (drool)

I rode in the Laser that my turbo came out of (before it hit the wall) -- and it was a crazy ride, will be interesting in that little Talon of mine...

Puck, when are you planning on throwing on the boost? I know you've got break-in going on during fest, so does that mean that shortly after we'll see you out with the boosted car?

Re: PuckPuck's insane 3L build...

oh and more thing...

if anyone says I mistreat or "beat" my car.... honestly do you think I would put this type of engine and turbo in my car so I can "baby" it....

After all this I expect to go through a at least set of tires per year.... a clutch shouldn't last me more than a year... I don't think the rings are going to hold the combustion for much past 2 years (3 if I'm lucky)... since the plugs are going to be copper and a few steps colder, if I can get 6 months from a set I'll be giddy... and brakes, well those are for stopping anyways

If you don't smell burnt rubber and raw fuel when I drive by... I was changing CDs
