Re: Motor Cities Chat Thread!

I think we need to get the attitude adjuster out and put it to use.

Re: Motor Cities Chat Thread!

Wish I could find a job that easy. I wouldn't mind having two or three.

LUCKY! I tried to get a job at starbucks 2 years ago and I got the most bull**** excuse ever, "sorry we cant hire you because you have never worked a cash register before"

eitherway, I'd say go with starbucks, they seem to treat their employees well and they offer health insurance if you work 8 hours a week [the SOLE reason I applied]

I'm going to go see what it's all about. They liked my work experience. I've worked as a Manager in a privately owned coffee shop for over 2 years.

But 9.50 an hour. Its far from my house but right down the road from my school, which i'm at 5 days a week anyway.

I'll probably pull working both. I've done it before...but not in collage.

How much Lisa time is it going to take away from? Some people will argue but everyone does need time to them self regularly so they don't go insane.

And how many hours a week do you work now? Classes are only going to get more time consuming through the rest of your schooling. I spend about 25 hours a week outside of classtime for just 1 of my classes right now.

Good point there Scott. I'm going to go see how they are with the hours. The money is good though.

Re: Motor Cities Chat Thread!

take the job that will give u a larger paycheck. and i dont mean pay more an hour. because a job might pay say, $10 and hour, but u may only get 10 hours a week, verses a job that pays $8 an hour, and you work 15 hours a week. the $8 an hour will pay you more, even though it may not seem like it.. thats how it'd decide, if i had to choose between two jobs. another thing is, do you like your current job? and what r the chances you might not like your new job? you should put a lot of thought into before making your final decision.
