i did that, but more to take the glare off the tv than to hide the outside. i like cold and snow. just not the up and down temps. i am ready for spring though. racing games just arent cutting it anymore, i need the real thing

I went to this home-decor place last year when I needed curtains for my bedroom. I swear, this place had a 60yrs old+ age requirement to shop there, but I found these heavy black vinyl/leather blackout curtains! When I close those, it could be 2:00 in the afternoon, NO light is getting through I've just about finished painting & redecorating the guest room/computer room here, and I've done the same thing... thick curtains. Every summer-person should have them! |

Re: Motor Cities Chat Thread!
Yeah, I spent $300 for the curtains in my living room, very dark and heavy fabric. (Got em at JC Penny). Had them up a day and when I came home there were tons of little holes all over them. Damn cats had used them to climb all day, bleh...
They black out the room nicely, and even when the room is fully lit at night you cannot see in from outside. That's a nice thing since I live on a main road in Detroit. Helps to hide that 50" Plasma nicely...E1
