Re: Motor Cities Chat Thread!

Ya talked to my bank they won't do loans on cars in that age range. I will just have to find someone that will if I decide to like it enough when I go see it this weekend. Or if I really can't find anyone taht will do it I could just do a $10k loan from Hagerty for the purcahse then pay what isn't spend on the car on the first loan payment.

Re: Motor Cities Chat Thread!

You must be in the grey area, car is not old enough for a Classic Car Loan, and not new enough for Used Loan. The only thing you can do is take out a line of credit, Haggerty will do loans but they make the check out direct (it never goes in your pocket) -- they do this to ensure they can take possession of the vehicle. At least this is how they worked when I went thru them for loans in the past. (Btw, they are a great company to deal with, we insure 3 vehicles with them right now, and Marcus' dad insures his '69 Camaro there...)

Re: Motor Cities Chat Thread!

I am going to try a credit union possibly. When I had my explorers loan at my old credit union and was looking at a 66 stang they said they would loan on any car as long as they could have an appraiser look at it and say that it was worth at least what the loan was for. It isn't that it isn't old enough it just isn't pricey enough. $6800 for an 86 944 turbo with 67k. I am going to look at it this weekend but won't make any moves till after the weekend when my mortgage guy calls me back. I don't want to move on a car loan if it will cause ANY problems for me with getting a mortgage.

Re: Motor Cities Chat Thread!

Al Gore is a fruitcake... God I wish this global warming hysteria would blow over, his movie is so full of crap its silly. And that "green week" on TV ruined about 1/2 the shows I watch, because they were full of "green messages". Ya ya, we should all conserve, but I was already doing my part, I don't need my entertainment to jam it down my throat.

Still, I would say that "Bono" from U2 is more annoying.
