yeah that kind of work can wear a guy out, eh? Did you get those intake gaskets for that'03 5.3 yet?

Yeah, done with that headache. Intake gaskets leakiing messed up the Cats. We gutted the ol' precats on that SOB and it ran perfect.

I can go all the way to redline (well I assume as I was getting pretty high in the range but not all the way there) without the battery light flashing. Even the alt that was on there never went that high without flashing. Hope that is a sign that I got a good one this time. The design changes on this new one as compared to the one we pulled off really interest me, someone had to have realized the problem at some point to make those changes.

Ya but that can happen without the alternator work. There are things like suspension mounts, rear sway bars (with welded up subframes) and similiar that can be replaced instead.
