Ahhh, Not that I need to try to do a swap into a cav anyway.

Trust me, it's an easy job to do, but finding the engine is the issue, best I can come up with is 900 bucks for an engine with 100k on it

OUch that isn't cheap and then whos to say it won't pop it again then. So 900 for an envgine 500 to freshen it up some to try and avoid blowing it probably not the best idea.

right, especially since I am not even sure why the piston just busted up into bits in the first place.

sometimes I do, but not wiith this car I didn't. It had high miles to begin with. It was running fine all day and then it sat for 30 minutes I went back out to start it and it was knocking. I pulled the pan to check for a rod bearing and I found bit-o-piston in the pan.

Too much boost ran it lean. lol

So I am thinking after doing this alternator tonight I might bring the one that is pulled into my lab here at work and do a little bit of testing on it. see if the guys can come up with any intereting information for me on it. Might be worth it and hell gives me a reason to go visit the lab (assuming the people borrowing the lab equiptment this week aren't using the machines I would need.)
