x2 and x2

I believe it was on our caravan-o-death, that I realized that if THAT kind of rain won't give me problems, nothing will (short of driving the car into the ocean) lol!

Re: Motor Cities Chat Thread!

just avoid any puddles... i've had some scary times with my CAI being in contact with water. The car starts to hesitate, and then kind of chokes... but the downtime is just a couple minutes before it fixes itself..

rain is ok though, its the puddles that are evil

Wow! Someone else who can appreciate how my mind suffers. I wish I could look on something with innocent unknowing eyes. I can never turn off my engineering brain either no matter what I look at or see I wonder every detail about it and wonder how it will fail. Makes life stressful!

Anyways, that water shield broke on my car about 6 months after I bought it. I took it off and chucked it and then 2 years later got the CAI extension with my air intake in the wheel well at the bottom of my fender and only once had a problem when the highway flooded and I drove through a puddle. Beyond that, never a minutes trouble and I've not had that annoying shield for 5 years. Just scrap it.

Agreed Ron. It's hard not to over-analyze everything in my life, really damn annoying. Do you also find yourself "doing work" (whether its coding or designing, etc) in your head while driving and the like? I literally solve all sorts of problems when I'm nowhere near a computer. :P Ya, I should pay attention more.

And ya Terry! LOL! At my job I get to be an idiot all day, and I'm still smarter than anyone around me. Ugh...

You know I do... it's ANNOYING. I just can't ignore it. I often come up with most of my design ideas while trying hard to tune them out when driving and such. I actually completely designed the electronic circuit for the sequential taillights in my head while driving home from Can-Am a few years back when I was trying to tune it out and focus on the road.
