eh, it's not too bad to do, have you got new mounts and what not for it as well? I think I have a spare set of top hats to make the install go faster if you have new mounts that is. that way you can just stick the whole new assembly in and not worry about swapping over parts.

You will for sure need new top hats for the rear being an 01.

Hopefully I will get my new hood soon from John so I can spray it, along with the fenders I got from Pierre, and I can get my fiberglass ones over to you.

Yeah, I have new upper strut mounts and the spring seats. I am not 100% sure if I will need the seats (going off Pierre's FAQ) since the springs are listed for 01+ Cougars.

Question: Do the spring/strut combo have a top section that holds everything together...much like a coil over kit?? Or does the upper strut mount act as the seat for the coil??

When ever you can get the fenders is ok...not in a huge rush for them. Still need warm weather to get them painted anyway.

I am speculatory if the info about intrax is correct about the 01 model. But no the mounts don't act like the upper spring pearch. The fronts are the same for all years though. When you get them send me a pic and I will tell you weather or not you need the rear spring hats or not.

Ok...thanks. I've just never had a set apart yet, so i do not know exactly what they look like and how they go together.

Fronts are easy rears are usually rusted to **** and a pain in the ass.

Yeah...I'm not too worried about it. I just want to make sure that I have everything to do the swap. I do not want to get into it and end up needing to order something else.

Jason, the hood is ready to go to your house whenever, unfortunately I have no way to get it from Jackson to Detroit... I'm headed to the shop this weekend -- if you have a way to move the hood we could get it then for ya...

If you guys need a hand, i could use my Dad's truck and we could head out and get it...I have no problem helping out...since I will benefit from it too.
