The fiance and I had a come to jesus last night and decided that the cougar will never be the best daily driver or most reliable with the way I drive it so we decided I should probably just buy a beater/daily driver to use that is good with gas. Thats a good plan. It is hard to keep moding a car and continue to use it for a daily driver. A good back up car is always appreciated.

I have been plannign on buying a daily driver again since the explorer kicked the bucket but was hopeing to wait until I had started a new job before doign so.

That is alsways a great idea, but then something like this ends up happening and you are forced into buying something right away. Hope you get a really good deal on the Focus...post some pics when you get it.

Ya, I will ring these guys out if they are realyl interested in selling the car, I know what kind of deals can be had on these things and there is always another dealership down the street who will sell it for that hair cheaper. I think it will be a simple two door hatch in red, 5-speed, nothing special.

Well ladies, long story short I am having a great day since about 3:00 on. I came up with a last ditch idea (from CEG) of what my problem was to save myself from buying a Focus today and it was right. Turns out after I pulled my drivers side Half shaft to replace a punchtured CV boot the shaft just keeps sliding out of the trans now so I have to get a retaining spring clip to hold that into the trans like it had stock but the Manuel says not to re install. After taht should be all fixed up. Ordered up some fresh trans fluid from Napa at the end of the street and they shoudl have that in the morning so I will be going to the fiances parents house to do the work after work tomorrow and then the car should be good to go. Atleast now I can put off buying a daily driver for a few more weeks or a month till i figure out where I am going with a new job.

I didn't post this in MC bc there are 2 other threads about it, but for those who don't venture out outside the chapter, there is a Group Buy going for the 1/18th scale Cougar.
