Thanks George! Yeah, I'll be in Detroit Friday, Jan 5th-ish (maybe Thursday, don't know) and leaving out of Detroit on Monday, Jan 8th. So that whole weekend can be with you guys!

very untrue. you have alot of people that are overqualified [either education wise or experience wise] for their actual job function. I'm going to guess and say 40% of the fired people will eventually replaced with fresher employees [either that or there was some serious bloat of job functions].

Sorry I know very little about the car sector, but thats been the tech sector for me [and on a personal level, I've been told by a number of companies that my education and background is actually a liability to them]. I feel terrible for the people let go, thats a very specialized field with an absolute glut of unemployed.
