you dont need to be able to read to get an engineering degree... I'm proof positive of that. I'm dyslexic, in all my schooling I've never read a single book.

The only assistance I ever needed was in my college Chem 2 lab... after I mixed the wrong things and gassed the lab forcing the whole floor to be evacuated... for the 3rd time. [well first they tried to fail me and prevent me from ever being able to take chem again, effectively eliminating my chances of an engineering degree, my response was "that would not be in your best interest"] long story short, they had to hire a 2nd TA solely to supervise me [I was not allowed to touch anything], which was pretty sweet, I just had to sit there and nod my head while someone else did all the work for me.
