it happens with every shorty. they dont flex like the stockies and they have a tendency to snap the bolt off of the base. the antenna survives, but they get lost in the carwash most of the time

or just shave the antenna off entirely. I have to say my radio reception is just as good [if not BETTER than the shorty] without it.

Even if I had wash it I take mine off.

I put the stockie back on for the winter. Sometimes I can't get a station I like to listen too.

I got 450ft/lbs of torque for xmas....

unfortunately its not in the form of an engine, but in the form of an impact gun.
