Looking for a good exhaust shop!
Fellas, i have some MSDS headers which should be at my door this wednesday, and i need to have some 02 bungs welded into place for them to work with my 99 because the headers were for a 01. Do any of you know a good exhaust place around here that could do that? Iv only seen one which is in Shakopee and the dude there is drunk all the time when i am talking to him, and the dummbass installed the wrong exhaust on my car when i had it down there over the summer so i am looking else where. Also i might have to have them throw on my y pipe and catback while i am at it. My other question is that i have a used borla exhaust from Chris (blackcoug) sitting in my garage that will need to go on, but should i wait till after winter is over so no salt will built up on it? I know borla holds up very well, but i thouht id ask you guys first! Thanks, ~Wonder Boy~ aka Nacho, aka tommyboy

Um yea...mine's sounding like crap too. I'd like to get it re-done. Anyone know a place that doesnt rape you too bad without any lube? heheh...ok that was inappropriate.

Re: Looking for a good exhaust shop!
Go to Pitcrew Performance in Fridley. They did an awesome job on my car and are great guys to work with. The number is 763-795-9595. BTW I wouldn't consider them the cheapest in town but they definately do a very good job. Get a quote before having them work on it if you are worried about cost.

Re: Looking for a good exhaust shop!
You can throw the exhaust on there now. The only thing that *might* happen is the pipes get somewhat rusty. But, they won't rust through, unless you keep the car for like eleventy billion years.

Re: Looking for a good exhaust shop!
I know a nice guy that helped me with my car last year. He used to own propulshion but now has a shop at white bear lake. I haven't talked to him in a while. But i was planning on visiting him some time this week. if you want i can usk him how much it will cast to go what you want. He is a very nice guy and is not looking to rape any one off. He welded my exhast.

Re: Looking for a good exhaust shop!
I use...
Jeff-Ex 125 Nelson Blvd Montrose, MN 55363 763-675-3211 He has a performance exhaust shop and can do mandrel bends up to 4" and has a MIG welder for stainless steel welding. Very few exhaust shops can do all this. Can accomidate low riding cars. Does damn fine work and is worth the drive (just outside the cities). Hell of a nice guy (Jeff the owner) and lets you make yourself at home in his shop and work bay. |
