The lexus just isn't the same

Ashley's(my fiance) Lexus doesn't look the same as when we got it anymore. In less than a week it has changed. It had dark tinted windows until last week when she got pulled over and the cop checked them. Now the tint has been removed. The cop said it was 4%...no wonder I couldn't see anything when driving her car at night.

Then early this week she was at a job interview in the industrial park area of Sioux City and hit some really nasty railroad tracks going a little to fast which took out 2 tires and bent a rim. Now she has 3 chrome 18's on the car and one stock 17. She should have slowed down but even then i think she would have been screwed b/c there was a nice 3'X3' section of asphalt missing in between the tracks. She would of had to swerve to the otherside of the road to miss it and with all the truck traffic in the area that wasn't really an option.

The car went from having a sick dark tint job and nice chrome 18's to no tint and an odd ball rim. Heres how it used to look. I will try to get a pic of it now sometime this weekend.

Re: The lexus just isn't the same

Man, you do NOT want to drive with an odd-sized rim. PLEASE say it's on the front; if the diff has a different size on each side, it will burn out and grenade QUICK.

Re: The lexus just isn't the same

Just needed to get it back home. She's been using the cougar and I've been stuck with the T/A.

Re: The lexus just isn't the same

A new rim is 220 plus shipping. Tire will be about 70 bucks then just have to get the tire mounted and balanced.

New legal or atleast close to legal tint will be 200.

Re: The lexus just isn't the same

Ouch, that puts a dent in the pocket book then. What kind of wheels are they?
