BBOX Fest MARCH 23-25
As many of you know, I live in an area known as "The District". Frosty and Casey have both experienced The District first-hand, though Casey really only saw one club . . . and that one's a little bit dark for my liking. Besides that one, there's another 20-plus bars, about a dozen restaurants, a casino and a strip club all within walking distance. In addition, there's another casino and another dozen or so bars within a five-minute drive.
The best casino is the one right across the river from me, but I don't know if any of us are particularly big gamblers. It would certainly be a possibility though. The best strip club is more of a trek, but one that is in my opinion well worth it as the strip club in The District simply cannot compare. The other club is also BYOB, which makes things more fun if you ask me. I would see BBOX Fest going down something like this . . . people arrive on Friday evening. We chill at the apartment for a little while, then we mount up and head out to dinner and Daisy Dooks (the strip club we'd have to drive to). They are open until three a.m. and I'm sure we could all keep ourselves entertained for quite some time out there. On Saturday, I'd have to figure out something to do during the day . . . depending on what date I actually choose, The District often has outdoor festivals with live music and other attractions going on. If that's not happening, we could go go-karting (I will politely decline, kthxbye) and there's also a place that has laser tag and slow-karts, or if the weather is nice we could just cruise a little or . . . I dunno. If anyone has any ideas, feel free to throw them out there. Saturday night would be back to The District and another night of heavy drinking. There's a wide variety of bars down there, from relatively quiet sports bars to crazy dance clubs. We can also do a little wandering if some people wanna be Sober Rover for the evening, there's a nice little block of bars a relatively short drive from my apartment, including a really good authentic German bar and a pretty kick-ass microbrewery. Planning this for March, there's several weekends readily available. I'm not picky about what weekend I host this, but the weekends are March 3-4, 10-11, 17-18, 24-25 and March 31-April 1. If any weekends are no good for anyone, let me know, I can certainly accomodate people as best as I can. Now, there's a couple of caveats . . . my apartment is pretty good sized, but its not huge. I could probably host five , with two on the couch and three on the floor. Much more than that is pushing it. However, this is a hotel located directly across the street from the front door of my apartment if anyone wanted to get a room there. Also, though this should go without saying . . . no wimmenz allowed. This is a total bachelor party weekend, just a chance to live it up and have a great time. Any questions? PM me or post up in hurr. UPDATE Google Map of my place. The actual direction you get are going to take you to the street, but if you close the bubble on Google Maps, you'll see a large parking lot underneath it. That parking lot is the best place to park. DO NOT PARK AGAINST EITHER OF THE WALLS WITH SIGNS ON THEM THAT SAY "Parking for Goldman Tenants Only" or your car will be towed. Everything else is fair game. Here is a tentative list of attendees . . . 1. Your host, yours truly, the one and only, BBOX. ![]() 2. BadAzzCougar 3. FrostCougar (maybe )4. ov3n 5. Echoman 6. Pyro81 7. EternalOne (maybe) 8. Phantom (maybe) If I've missed anyone, please lemme know and I will add you to the list. ![]()
