Best canolis in Boston...

Okay, my mom and I are going to Boston on the 19th. (Between when I end my current job and start my new job.) No idea what we're doing yet, but I've ordered 2 CharlieCards online!

So here's my question - what's your favorite place for canolis in Boston? I never tried too many places in Boston. I am NOT a fan of Mike's. My favorites are from Arthur's in Slumerville. But I'm not looking to go to Somerville.

Re: Best canolis in Boston...

I've only ever had Mike's canolis in Boston.
And it wasn't much different from the canolis I've had up here.
Mike's makes the thickest, roundest canolis I've ever had.
I like to get chocolate chip.

I guess if you want to rebel, you could go to Modern Pastry.
Phantom Gourmet says they make the best canolis in the area.

I've had tiramisu at Mike's before and it sucked! maybe it was an off night or maybe they just always suck. I'll never know because I don't want to try it there again.

Re: Best canolis in Boston...

I'm just going to ignore Sami.

I have a feeling none of them are going to live up to Arthur's. They just rank so high because when you order, they go grab a shell, then they grab a bag of filling and fill it for you right there. Freshness is key. No soggy canollis. I'll have to try Modern Pastry.
