Re: Help....

the cougar sensors are very sensitive but could be a bad one.

Re: Help....

just fill it up a lil bit over the maximum line and you should be fine (ie: so it doesn't come on when you start your car on an incline -- the sensor is very picky). HOWEVER, if it keeps dropping past where you filled it, you have a leak somewhere and that could become a very large problem.

Re: Help....

Ya I dont think I have a leak. but even if its like a CM below the line it goes on. didnt know if it was a common problem.

Re: Help....

fill it about a 1/2 cm above the maximum line and you should be good to go if there's no leaks

Re: Help....

Yeah, if all else fails replace your sensor in the bottom of the coolant tank. I used to have to park facing down any incline so the light wouldn't go on but since i swapped coolant sensors its been just fine and i'd dead on the line no matter which way i park... Do you park facing up a hill at ur house, work, etc.

Re: Help....

Thats the weird thing I just park it straight at my house and at work. So it prolly is below the max line. So that light on my dash IS for the coolant?

Re: Help....

yes that is most definitely the low coolant light. Mine is pretty picky also, so i just keep it a little above the line and it stays off.

Mine's always over-full - for that very reason.
