Actually, I removed those completely... There is NOTHING in the engine bay right now. No bolts, clips, trim, etc..., so I just think the latch needs to be slightly adjusted. No big deal

j/k man. Good to see you're finally getting the work done on it.
HEHE, kind of like the Harlequin GTIs that VW came out with a while ago... not the new ones that are white, grey and black, but the Red, yellow, Green ones!

is that a cougar there....i thought u just worked on CSVT and other peoples cougars......

awesome work man, she is going to look awesome. good choice on the WW grill with the 01-02 lights...thats going to look hawt.

i got a couple questions, are u painting the headlights black, laser red or keep stock? and u ever thought of getting the grill wrapped by topshop? another question about ur hood since its giving you issues, why not have it open from the front like kenny's old one?

headlights and sidemarkers are staying chrome. I wanted to do black, but not yet. Maybe later on if I get sick of the chrome...

Grill is staying black i think, and I really don't want to drop more money on wrapping stuff in CF... I have plenty of Cf as it is!

And GMK's hood hinges were unique, But I NEVER liked the idea... just my opinion, but if I have to work on the engine at all, or anything like that, I want to be able to access it without the hood in the way, ya know?
I'm going Supercharged, so if anything goes wrong, I need to locate things quickly....
I'll fix the hood latch issues, no problem... I think that becuase it wasn't bolted to the hinges, the latch may be sitting wrong and preventing the inner part of the latch from closing all the way... it'll get fixed!

I have a bunch of work to do for this Saturday coming up! Casey is coming by Saturday to start body work, and we should have it finished by Monday night if things go well... so I HAVE to finsih up the door hinge alignments, which BTW, I found zerk fittings that I think are going to work well!
Scotch-brite the engine bay, door jambs, and line up the WW side skirts...
Then finish cutting the second exhaust hole for the rear bumper, and making a template for the CF for the roof!
Great thing is, I have a set of electric metal shears, and they cut CF PERFECT!!! so all I have to do is trace everything for the roof and apply it to the CF sheet, and then use the shears to cut the piece out... My new favorite tool!

Hopefully Wednesday I will have some more time in the afternoon to get this work done!

I think you should stick with this color scheme

What I like about those is if you get a dented panel or door you can get any color you want and not have to worry about matching paint.

Brian and Josh have seen it in all its stripped down glory!

I just pulled all of the fenders, hood, rear tailights, headlights, grill, off of the car again today. Was supposed to scotch-brite the engine bay today but didn't have enought time!
A friend came by for a while, and I went to Lowe's before that, so i only had about 1 hour to install the grease fittings into the hinges, and figure out what kind of stoppers I need to fit into them to hold the door from openning up too far or not enough...

BTW, Roger, I got a new Impact Wrench!! 525 ft/lbs!
also a few new 1/4" socket wrenches, and a 3/8" wrench... got a set of deepwell sockets for the 1/4" wrench, but they are standard sizes!!! they were on the wrong hook at the store, so I'll have to return them on Friday, and get some metrics...

I have ZERO time to do anything during the week! Saturday we start body work, too!

Friday I won't be able to work on it for long, as it all depends on when Dawn get home from her Appointment at 2:30pm... I still need to place the stoppers into the door hinges and get those perfect before anything else is done.

I could definitely use help Saturday though!
