anyone familiar with NY city?

I was gonna ask in the Empire section but it doesnt look very active over there. My girlfriends birthday is in April and i would like to take her there for a day. Go shopping, check out museums, sight seeing and have a nice dinner. I've been a couple times, basically in and out for a concert.

Does anyone here know anything about the city?? Is it best to take a coach bus, or drive in and park for a day? Any info would be helpful I'll probable link this thread in their section and see if i get any responses.

Unless you wanna sit in traffic all day I'd consider a train down. The bus will be slow and no doubt filled with dirty people. Plus on a train you have more room to move around.

My friend works for Boston Coach, he's been down there a few times to drop off clients. But I think it's expensive.

Re: anyone familiar with NY city?

I grew up in Queens and go back to visit all the time. I still have family there and know my way around. Traffic can be an issue; rush hour is hell. It all depends on what you want to do and how much time (and money) you want to spend.
