Where to start?
I have a 2000 2.5 motor with a WAI that came with the car. Any ideas for a reasonable (price wise) but significant place to start on my car. I havent done anything to it but kept it clean since I bought it and the only thing I have really thought about doing to it is tinting the windows....
I need some help. |

Re: Where to start?
What's a WAI? Warm air intake?
It all comes down to what you want to do with the car: Cosmetic changes? Go faster?

Re: Where to start?
A lot of people start with an intake and then an exhaust. But it's really personal preference and has to do with what you're trying to accomplish and what you use the car for (daily driver, show car, weekend fun, etc.).
Check around on CougarDB.com (also a link in my signature) and see what looks you like. Then, try to make it out to a meet when we have one to get ideas in person and ask questions. It's always nice to know what something will look or sound like before you buy it. ![]()

Re: Where to start?
As of right now my car is definatly a daily driver. I drive to Laurel from Aberdeen mon-fri. So my top priority is that she is in good condition!
I have the tools to do whatever I want. My boyfriend at the auto craft shop on post. So I have unlimited access to all the tool I need. But at the moment the funds are limited. I know I need to do something about my rear sway bar because I put her up on a lift at my boyfriends shop and the bracket was broken and it was rubbing up against my gas tank... The easiest way to go about doing that would be to just replace the bracket correct? MY first goal on my cosmetically... Is the paint! I like the yellow.. But there are a lot of little dings and sctraches in my paint, I want a brighter yellow and my front lip was cracked when I bought it so I want to look around to see how much it would cost to fix it or replace it. |

Re: Where to start?
Oh yeah, what part of Laurel? I work right off of 198 by Van Dusen.

Re: Where to start?
Oh, you're not far at all.
![]() I'll keep an eye out for you when I'm out and about. If you see a dark blue G35, it could be me... Eventually the cougar will be back and that's more recognizable. ![]()
