Question Hibernating?

Is everyone hibernating?
How was Thanksgiving?

Any new car toys? Anything else happening around here?

I got a new present for my car, actually 4 of them.

Toyo Proxes FZ4's. Only $93 each!
Anybody have these? The reviews I read were decent.

Re: Hibernating?

Awwwwwwww! They're so CUTE!!

My Cougar is parked for now. The IMRC no longer functions when it warms up (it's been giving me occasional issues for a while but now it's failing reliably, and it fails both ways - sticking open and closed), and the alternator is going.

The trip to my brother's place last Thursday was not fun - first the Cougar stalled on me when I got on the ramp to the Baltimore Beltway, then, as I was driving carefully on the way home to keep the IMRC closed (so they wouldn't stick open, which is why it stalled I hope) the headlights started strobing. I made it back home okay, but I don't intend to take it anywhere at least until I can get the IMRC fixed.

Re: Hibernating?

Just this weekend I replaced my alternator for the second time. The first time, it took me a week. This time, it took me eight hours. A considerable improvement, I would say. The first alternator I put in was faulty, so Pep Boys gave me a new one for free.

I am also being absolutely slaughtered by my first semester of college. w00t!

Hopefully in the spring I will have money again and be able to do stuff to my car, and thus actually be good for something on this forum. Basically, I will have the DTG twin of tigg's cat

Re: Hibernating?

That doesn't sound like fun at all RJ. I hope you can figure it all out and get it fixed up. As for the lights flipping out, mine always does that. I can watch my gauge faces pulse in and out, and my headlights dim when I hit the brakes.

8 hours is a great improvement. Good job!
What classes do you have this semester? Anything that we may be able to help you with?
Aww, a DTG twin. That'll be awesome. Right now my car looks too much like Henry, it will be nice to see something different. But you are still good for the forum with or without modding!

The same thing has been happening to me. Phew, I thought i was just going crazy

I'm taking engineering sciences, calculus, english, and history. Its actually not that hard, I just have alot of stuff due over the next few weeks.

. . . I take that back, calculus is terrible, but I should be able to make it through with a passing grade. I don't get it, it seems like the entire subject is teaching you how to almost find the answer!

Re: Hibernating?

I hated calculus. I took it, passed it, and then found out that I didn't need it for my degree.
I may be helpful with English or History if you get stuck.

I have Intermediate Maco-Economics, Intermediate Micro-Economics, Strategic Management, Information Systems in Organizations and Physical Science this semester.

Nope, you're not crazy.
That's not to say that there isn't an issue, but you're not crazy or imagining the dimming...

Re: Hibernating?

Wow, I wonder what your major could be related to . . .

As to the dimming, I theorized that its just the cold, as my car seems to absolutely despise cold weather. This sound sorta kinda maybe near to possibly accurate?

Re: Hibernating?

I'm in Sunny florida so you can say that I am hibernating and loving it.

Grats on the new tires.

I have finals coming up and soon after I'll be moving. Again. I'll also be in the hunt for new tires for the coog sometime soon.
