Need help asap, meh.

Hey all you MDers,

I'm in catonsville. A friend and I are trying to do the Big 3 on my cat, and have a bit of trouble. Anybody out there willing to drop by and help out?

[edit, don't need my cell on here anymore] is my cell.

Thats cool if you can't make it, I'm sure we'll get it eventually.

Eric

Big 3? Sorry but I'm at work. Good luck though. Whatever it is you're doing, I hope you figure it out and get it done.

I can't come over right now, but if we have a better idea of what you're doing, we may be able to offer some tips/expertise.

Re: Need help asap, meh.

Okay, I'm following the directions from "big three revisted," the alternator/headlight dimming fix.

We managed to get the wires all disconnected from the alternator.

First of all, I can't get the bolt for the negative from the battery off of the block.

Second, in the directions, it tells you to unbolt the positive wire from the box (a fuse box).

I found the box, I can't seem to get to it to get the bolts off.

Any advice would be welcome. Its getting late, and I'm running out of ideas . . .

No experience with that one, sorry. But I doubt there's any trick to them - they're probably just really tight.

Re: Need help asap, meh.

Hey all, thanks for the help.

I managed to get better angles and get these bolts off. Don't ask why I expected the bolts on an eight year old car to just come right off

So yeah, I'm good now, but if you wanna throw advice my way anyway, be my guest.
