    Anxiety disorder

I've had this happen to me a few times in the past but nothing like this....

within the past 2 weeks, I almost instantly wake up into a panic attack and I'm not sure what to do. My heart is racing, I have discomfort in my lower stomach (its almost like when you hold your gut in for a while and the muscle tension that comes with that), I find it hard to focus, and worst of all I can barely stomach anything. I've been eating about 900 calories a day if that, and every time i swallow i feel like i'm gonna throw something up. I'm not sure whats going on but I have a feeling its stress and anxiety related and I was wondering if anyone else had feelings like this and how they cope with them?

well i work at cvs, and the way i see people handle them is with some medication. Lorazepam for example, there is a bunch of other stuff also. Only thing is they can become addictive.

Yeah, thats my biggest issue, I don't want to start taking meds if I'm going to start getting these attacks the second I come off of them :/

your symptoms may return when you stop using lorazepam after using it over a long period of time. You may also have seizures or withdrawal symptoms when you stop using lorazepam. Withdrawal symptoms may include tremor, sweating, muscle cramps, stomach pain, vomiting, unusual thoughts or behavior, and seizure (convulsions).
hmm thats a tough one though. When im stressed i just drive around, or spend tons of money . I have no idea man, just hope you get it solved. Maybe your best bet is go to a doctor tell them you want something thats not really addictive or maybe something with less side affects. You can probably lean off the pills though like go from 1 a day, break it down to 1/2 to slowly not needing them anymore. Any reason for stressing in particular?

Unless you have some special "NECO Health Insurance" I'm not aware of, your insurance company's website would be considerably more helpful than us retards here - unless you want advice from Dr. Xgaymer and Nurse Nanovirus. you need to see a doctor, I would suggest your primary care physician, as soon as possible. It could be anxiety, it could be something else, but whatever it is, you need to get it taken care of before things get worse.

Definitely go see your doctor and don't dismiss it so lightly. I had a co-worker who would wake up in the middle of the night with symptoms like that, he thought it was nothing. He went to the doctor, and they made him wear a heart monitor at night when he went to sleep that recorded everything and they found out there was an irregularity with his heart. Don't **** around, get it checked out.
