Doesn't seem like a whole lot of weight is being saved, only 1 pound per vest. I guess this would be more worth it in accumulative savings rather than individual savings.

at life vests in the event of a plane crash . . . they only have those because they float so it makes it easier for searchers to locate the crash.

its 50lbs saved weight.... They could make a better rule nobody over the weight of 275lbs can fly to save weight, or 1 hostess' instead of 2, will save 100lbs...
