I've tried COD4 a few times... I just can't get into it. Maybe my eyes are getting bad, but I could never see people until it was too late.

TF2 is the complete opposite... everything is big, bright, colorful, and easy to pick up and play. COD4 felt like... well, like work!

Just for conversation, my favorite online FPS's have been:
Quake 3
BF1942 / 2142
TF2

I've been looking for a PC game to get into... This is a multiplayer game correct? Which means I'll need a proper serial number to play online.. Which means I'll have to go down to the store and purchase it?

Well, even though I'm quite sure you will find that its worth the trip down to the store - not nessessarily

You can download it online hurr - Team Fortress 2 on Steam $20 bucks

If you go to the store though and get "The Orange Box" it actually comes with 5 games, and TF2 is just one of them - The Orange Box - Team Fortress 2
BTW - Portal is also a great puzzle game worth checking out!

According to Steam, TF2 is FREE for this weekend! Download it NOW! It's only 7gb.. and I'm currently downloading it at a steady 800kbps

Also, I totally forgot I had a Steam account.. until it said my Username was already taken when I tried signing up.. I think I signed up like 3 years ago..
