I'm not using Apple Remote Desktop (mostly only used for enterprise), and I don't randomly install software that gets downloaded to my computer. I kind of notice when a prompt comes up that says "Hey you just downloaded this file, do you want to install it?" But maybe that's the reason why nobody's actually been hijacked by any of this ****. UNIX security still requires user intervention, in these cases, to get someone to load the software.

Windows, however, doesn't by default because that's not the way Windows was built.
