Just finished watching Top Gear

I noticed that in a challenge on Top Gear tonight that Jeremy Clarkson's car had a "sponsor" for a race called clitheroe carpets...

Did anyone notice, or see for that matter, in an episode where they entered a diesel bmw in a race and had some "sponsors" for that race too; larsen's biscuits and i think peniston oils...those witty brits.

Which episode were you watching? I don't recall any sponsers in the latest one. It had the GT-R on the track, the Diahatsu Terios fox hunt and Clarkson and May had a challange with James' RR and Clarkson's Merc 600.

Re: Just finished watching Top Gear

I believe he was likely watching the one which included the low cost car challenge racing an 84 BMW 6 series a late 80's jag coupe and a late 80's Mitsu Starion Turbo. Possibly that episode, it was on BBC last night. They also did a test of the Maaerati MC 12 or whatever that thing is called that is basically an Enzo in different metal.

Ahh, that one. I haven't seen that one in months. I may have to rewatch it.

that was the one. i hadn't seen it before.

clitheroe

i had all seasons downloaded and on my laptop so that i could watch them. i just got into Top Gear about 6 months or so ago. I had watched S1 and about 1/2 of S2 when CRASH...lost all twenty something gigs of it. I've seen a good many of the newer ones though. love the humor and the cars...can't go wrong with a combo like that one.

they did one some time back where they flew to miami and then bought cars to drive to new orleans. they nearly got lynched just a few short miles from pensacola. rednecks give us a bad name here in the south.

ACTUALLY... you said:

which sounded like you had just seen the one that aired on July 20th. :P

You never mentioned you were talking about an episode from 2 years ago.
