Any SCUBA divers here?
Really, I'm just bored at work and I just feel like posting something...
I was just wondering if there were any Certified SCUBA divers on here? I'm in the process of going for my Master Diver Cert with PADI, so I figured I'd see if there were any current/ex cougar owners who share the same enthusiasm as I do about Scuba diving.

Re: Any SCUBA divers here?
I should be certified. I passed the written test, then I was sick and stuffed up as hell for the in-water test. I couldn't get down past 8 ft. in the water so I couldn't take the rest of the test. Then I was in Hawaii last summer and called my instructor to have him fax my paperwork to our hotel so I could finish my certification there, but he never sent it.
I still did all the in-water tests while I was in Hawaii, so I have completed my certification but I'm not certified, if that makes sense.

Re: Any SCUBA divers here?
I wish I lived somewhere I could scuba dive, I've gone snorkeling in some exotic places and it's amazing, I'd love to scuba.
When my dad was younger he'd spend his college summers teaching scuba diving in the carribean. Basically all the money he made went towards food and rent in the carribean, but it still ended up being a free summer there. I think that'd be an awesome thing to do.

Re: Any SCUBA divers here?
Scuba diving is great... I really enjoy it. I haven't been to many places, but I hope to make a couple of trips this upcoming year.
I decided to go all the way through the PADI course to Master Diver, and pretty much do all of the individual certs they offer. We are doing advanced Nitrox dives in the upcoming weeks. That should be fun. Either way, if you have never been diving, I recommend at least taking the hotel course on a vacation. It is really a lot of fun... even if you only do it once.
