I don't think Wesley was attacking his service record per se, just trying to make the point that military service doesn't make you any more qualified for a task than the next person. That's something Wes could have played up when HE was running for president (having a President that was also a general would arguably have been a benefit to a country that was at the time of his candidacy involved in a war) but I don't remember him doing that (I may be wrong).

which not saying being a POW is a walk in the park - but it really makes you wonder. McCain has run a campaign that sails on the high seas of his military career, just look at his advertising. There is nothing wrong with challenging the platform your opponent is running on.

he sure as hell deserves a pass on a critique of his military record when his opponent didn't even serve in the first place.

Sorry, if you're going to go ahead and make jabs at Obama for being Muslim and a baby killer - then I feel that his military career is fair game.
