The video is what is known as satire. Satire is meant to be a kind of funny attack on what the author of the satire disapproves of.

A heated response to a joke called satire is known as total retardation, and only proves further what the satire meant to show.

Just like when extremely fundamentalist muslims got heated over a political satire cartoon published in Europe, they only proved the point the satire was making. They got mad at something insignificant and responded.

Also, to be completely pedantic, the video does NOT MAKE FUN OF REPUBLICANS, it simply says that if you VOTE FOR A REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, these are the reasons why or this is what would happen (based on an overexaggeration of historical examples, or current and future proposed policies).

Live life and laugh a little, you might find it easier to breathe.

A heated responce to a Satire does not prove your retarted...Especially when that satire is meant to insult a whole political party. You mean to tell me that the people who made the video didnt know what they were doing and that they were making republicans look like hate mongers?

When you make that kind of video you should expect some heated responce. It doesnt make the people who offended to it retarted. It makes them rightfully offended.

That 23 year old man is also a graduate of law school meaning he is pretty well educated. What your saying is that because his views differ yours and are conservative what he says means nothing because his point of view is wrong. The point is that he is an educated conservative who countered the Democrats low blow. It doesnt make either of the 2 correct their both extremes and thats not how 99% of both parties think. But atleast it makes it fair to have both sides

BTW I laugh lots...and i would breath easier but this damn NorCal air is killing me...Its quite smokey here in Davis CA.

The point of satire is to take something and take it to the extreme.

Fact: Republican politicians authored and supported Jim Crow laws (hatemongering)
Fact: Republican politicians currently in office discussed invading Iran for oil reserves (Dick Cheney)

Satire takes things that are fact and takes it to an extreme, for humor purposes. If you don't believe in things the Republican party has done, then, well, maybe you're not really a Republican (as far as the current party-line goes).

No, it means he is well educated in the area of law. It does not mean he is well educated in the arena of politics, history, political commentary, socio-political topics, or social policy.

It means he's well educated in the area of Law, with a degree that says so. But let's remember, education and a degree, even from a good school, doesn't make you smart or intelligent. GWB graduated from Harvard Business School and he can barely piece together a ****ing sentence in the language he's been using his whole life.

No, what I'm saying is that someone who is known to be close-minded and ONLY thinks a specific way about things isn't going to be someone I go to for open-minded commentary.

I mean the dude doesn't like porn and things you should wait before for sex until marriage. Why the hell am I going to listen to his opinion on conservatism? Of course he's going to support it. His column isn't funny. I could have come up with a funnier column about Democrats than he did, and I generally vote fairly liberal.

Do you get why i posted the other link though ? I mean i do believe that there needed to be some balance. The things that were said in that satire are extreme and yes they do get under peoples skins...The same would happen if a republican had posted a video about democrats. You might not be bothered by it. But there are many out there who will.

AS far as the jim crow stuff goes. I hate to break it to ya but Republicans are not the only political party involved in Racism. The Democratic party has quite the dirty little history as well. So that little part is null.

As far as what Cheny has said i didnt hear it. If its in his handwriting or better yet in a video of him saying it i will believe it. But on a side note we havent invaded Iran just Iraq.

I believe in alot of the things that my partie has done...I just dont believe the liberal medias spin on it. IF you dont believe the liberal media puts spin on the info they put out your in denial. Like for example there is no mention of the impact the surge in iraq has made. I know from speaking to people who have actually been Iraq that its working.

Anyways off of that. Im just saying that just because i disagree with the crazy out there video doesnt mean that i am renouncing my political party.

The video was funny and offensive at the same time. I just posted the other link to add balance. Which i believe it did.

As for the smoke i guess i will see more of it. Were going to be driving to the sf bay area to check out a used Contour SVT for my gf

Sure, it's working. But I have to ask you- why did we go into Iraq again in the first place? Wasn't in "Chemical and Biological weapons" and "ties to Al Qaeda"? And now we're there why?
