Just keep at it and as your hands get stronger you'll be able to play those chords...try squeezing a tennis ball with your left hand (if you're right handed) when you're watching tv and what not.

Hey! Great to hear you're still at it Grant! I'm still completely jealous you have free access to a studio! grr!!

I still say one of these days we'll have to collaberate on a song... it would be great if we could find someone to actually record the drums and a bassist too!

I never took lessons or learned complicated chords... I just play what I hear, infact i started out easy, but then jumped right into Metallica stuff, and after that, everything else seemed EASY. lol! But after years of that, I found it hard to play anything OTHER than metal.. I've been attempting Guns n Roses stuff recently, and its just completely different in every way.

My last guitar fun was spent playing something for Ryan (bbox) - AC/DC.........name that song! I'm amazed it turned out as well as it did... I was laughing the whole way through

I guess if we're making this a guitar topic, I'll post the other little recordings I did over the loooong boring winter.
M.Manson 'Great Big White World'
And a little bit of GnR 'November Rain'

hey thanks I don't really take the recordings too seriously since its basically just me playing alone to the tracks... I always say that I should put out an ad and see if theres any bands in the city looking, but I am also a fantastic procrastinator

I have a little binder I scribble down any fun riffs I come up with... Either before, or definitely after Cougarfest, I will just record all of them and send them over in one file... you could do the same and we could just pick and choose what we like and see where it goes

mmm bass.... I actually went bass shopping last year, but i reeeally don't like the sales people at the store... its more of a 'unless you know what you want, don't waste our time' place

Re: Video of me recording/playing guitar

You should check out Keller Williams. He's got a unique sound and he plays all of the instruments in recorded loops. Killer guitar player. Somewhat along the lines of what the kid played in August Rush.
